Debbie

Debbie Vuleta – Tutor, Treasurer & Class Coordinator

Kia Ora my name is Debbie Vuleta. When I’m not working full time as a office worker for a Government Department you will find me tutoring the Level 1 class on a Tuesday evening, doing accounts and or replying to emails. I also needed a creative outlet, so in 2013 I took a Beginners course with the Silversmiths and quickly became hooked. Most weekends you will find me in my workshop (Garage) in Leeston, Canterbury, where I work on my small business – Wiredlove Jewellery .

                MB   Michele Boston – Tutor

Im Michele Boston and one of the SSG tutorsWhile living in Australia, I discovered the joys of enameling, which quite naturally lead on to a course for making silver jewellery. Since then, there has been more practice, learning and courses to build my skill set, as well as experimentation, curiosity and problem-solving. I split my time between teaching, my garden, getting lost in a book and working at my bench.

 Janet    Janet McGregor

Janet McGregor s an artisan jeweller based in Christchurch, New Zealand, and the creative force behind Gilded Kea. With a passion for blending nature and art, Janet draws inspiration from New Zealand's stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and unique natural materials. Her journey began with a love for fine craftsmanship and a desire to create jewellery that tells a story.
Janet handcrafts each piece in her home studio, designing and sculpting original creations that reflect the beauty of New Zealand. Her work often incorporates locally sourced gems like Pounamu, Paua Pearls, and soon, Kauri gum, ensuring that every piece is a true reflection of the land it comes from. Gilded Kea jewellery is cast in Auckland using recycled sterling silver, with each piece carefully finished and polished by Janet herself.
